LOGAN, Utah – Utah State women’s basketball guard Marina Asensio will represent Spain at the upcoming FIBA 3×3 U21 Nations League in Bratislava, Slovakia, on June 24-26, and in Vilnius, Lithuania, on July 7-9.
Asensio will also take part in three training camps with the Spanish 3×3 national program in advance of the Nations League appearance.
Spain will be one of six nations appearing in the tournament and enters as the highest-seeded team in a field which also includes the Netherlands, Israel, Lithuania, Slovakia and Turkey. Games will be available for streaming via the FIBA3x3 – The Basketball Channel on YouTube.
Asensio has previously represented Spain in the 5×5 format at all youth levels from U12 through U20 and won silver medals with the Spanish 5×5 National Team at the U18 and U20 Championships in 2022 and 2024, respectively. At the 2024 U20 European Championships, Asensio led all players in the tournament with a 3-point percentage of over 44 percent, averaging 7.1 points and 2.1 made 3s per game.
