RENO, Nev. – Nevada women’s basketball will be represented on the International Stage next month as Izzy Sullivan (Ireland) and Hanna Jolinder (Sweden) will compete in the 2025 U20 EuroCup.

The full event will take place from August 2-10, in multiple locations.

Sullivan will be playing for the Ireland U20 Team in Miskolc, Hungary in Division B. The first game will be on August 3 against Ukraine, with the second game being the following day against Great Britain.

“It’s an incredible honor to represent Ireland and wear the green and white jersey this summer,” said Sullivan. “I’m very grateful to have this opportunity and have support from my coaches at Nevada. My Irish coaches and teammates have been so welcoming and so helpful. The European style of basketball is really helping me develop as a player as it is a high speed of play and very physical. My family in Ireland has been so supportive and helps me out any way they can and it’s truly very humbling. My team is very excited for our chances in Hungary this year, and a lot of the families will be traveling to support us so we can’t wait to make our country proud.”

Jolinder and the Sweden U20 Team are competing in Matosinhos, Portugal in Division A. Their first test will be against Iceland on August 2, followed by Latvia on August 3 and Turkey on August 4.

“It has been great to play with top talents and learn new thing on the court and off the court,” said Jolinder. “I think we have a lot to give in upcoming games and I am very excited for the rest of the summer with this team.”

This is the first time either player has competed in the EuroCup.

“This is an amazing opportunity for both Izzy and Hanna,” said Nevada Head Coach, Amanda Levens. “Representing their countries against the best international competition is a tremendous honor. We are excited to cheer them on and know this experience will elevate their individual skills when they join us in the fall.”
